Legacy Giving at High Watch & Alina Lodge
Generational Gratitude. Enduring Hope.
High Watch and Alina stand today as lasting symbols of hope because generations before us believed in recovery—and acted on that belief with extraordinary generosity. Our shared story began in 1939, when Sister Francis offered Joy Farm to Bill W., giving rise to what is now the High Watch campus. Alina’s mission was similarly strengthened by visionaries whose gifts ensured that healing would continue for all who seek it.
These were more than donations of land or resources. They were bold declarations of faith in the miracles of recovery—gifts rooted in compassion and foresight. As Sister Francis is remembered to have said: "If this place can bring even one soul back to life, then every gift is worth giving."
Introducing the Marty Mann Society
Honoring Those Who Shape the Future of Recovery
With heartfelt gratitude and deep pride, we are honored to introduce the Marty Mann Society—the first shared legacy society in the long, intertwined histories of both High Watch and Alina Lodge.
This visionary milestone celebrates individuals who include High Watch or Alina in their estate plans. Their generosity becomes a powerful promise: that recovery will remain accessible and life‑changing for generations yet to come.
A Legacy Rooted in Family and Gratitude
"High Watch has been part of my family’s story since 1958, when my mother, Sunny H., found her home group here. I was 13 and afraid, but I watched her heal. I remember hearing Bill W. speak about the Traditions and witnessing the magic of recovery as my mother and her ‘Pidgins’ got well. She died sober in 1975.
High Watch is in my will out of gratitude for the blessings it gave my family, and with hope that it continues to shine as the beacon on the Hill. I joined A.A. in 2002 and continue reaching out, still healing. I can’t leave much directly to A.A., but I can honor its mission through High Watch. This is my thank you for carrying the message." — Stephen H., multi-generational High Watch family
